Adiantum trapeziforme 'cv' Satin fern
Origin: India (West Bengal) Unknown hybrid.
A very beautiful small variety of 'trapeziforme' originated from West Bengal and travelled to South East Asian countries. Compact, dense and hardy fern grows up to 9 to 12 inches. Bright green foliage appears like satin in various sizes. Prominent shiny venations. Fronds 1 to 1.5 inches closely arranged on thin, wiry black stalks. Terminal pinnas are larger than lower ones. Tolerate wide range of temperature variations. Grows well in shallow container and forms triangular canopy. Require humid condition. In 2005 this little fern survived well in open rain where annual rainfall crossed more than 170inch. Very popular variety among fern grower. Good as a ground cover in semi shaded locations.
